Willie Nelson Cma Awards 2019:A group of new performers and surprise collaborators spanning genres and generations has been added to the lineup of the 2019 CMA Awards. The annual event takes place Wednesday, November 13th at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
Kacey Musgraves, who claimed the CMA’s Album of the Year prize for Golden Hour at the 2018 show, will share the stage with Country Music Hall of Fame member Willie Nelson. The two previously collaborated on a cover of Nelson’s “Are You Sure” that was secretly tacked on to the end of Musgraves’ album Pageant Material.
Additional collaborations will include Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton, who appear together on Brooks’ current single “Dive Bar”; Brooks & Dunn and Brothers Osborne, who sang “Hard Workin’ Man” together on this year’s Reboot; and Lady Antebellum with pop star Halsey. Also newly added to the lineup are solo performances from Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay, Old Dominion, and Thomas Rhett.
They join previously announced performers including Eric Church, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris, Keith Urban, and Carrie Underwood. Other collaborations on the show will include Pink and Chris Stapleton, along with Dolly Parton joined by For King & Country and Zach Williams.

Willie Nelson will share the stage with reigning CMA Album of the Year winner Kacey Musgraves (for Golden Hour) during the 2019 CMA Awards. The pairing is part of a list of newly announced collaborations set for Country Music’s Biggest Night. Other special collaborations include Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn and Brothers Osborne and Lady Antebellum with pop artist Halsey.
Previously announced CMA performers include Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris, Luke Combs and Eric Church. Dolly Parton will perform with For King & Country and Zach Williams, while Chris Stapleton will share the stage with Pink.
Nelson and Musgraves previously collaborated on the duet “Are You Sure?,” which was featured on Musgraves’ sophomore album Pageant Material and “A Willie Nice Christmas” from Musgraves’ holiday album A Very Kacey Christmas.
They join previously announced performers Dolly Parton with For King & Country and Zach Williams,, Pink with Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.
Nelson last appeared at the CMA Awards in 2012 when he received the inaugural CMA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Brooks and Shelton will performing their collaborative song “Dive Bar.” Shelton will also be returning to the stage to perform solo “God’s Country.”
Ballerini will be bringing out her latest single “Homecoming, Queen?” with Dan + Shay performing “Speechless,” Old Dominion with “One Man Band,” Rhett with “Remember You Young” and Brooks & Dunn with “Hard Workin’ Man” alongside Brothers Osborne.
Underwood will be hosting the awards show without her longtime CMA partner Braid Paisley. McEntire and Parton are serving as guest hosts.
