Born Sir Robert Bryson Hall II on January 22, 1990, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer. Hall, who goes by the stage name Logic was raised in Gaithersburg and showed a keen interest in music from an early age as a teenager. He ventured into the music career at the beginning of 2009 and in 2010, he released a mixtape dubbed ‘Young, Broke and Infamous. ‘In 2009 performed and the stage name “Psychological” and acted as the curtain raiser for famous artists like Method Man, Pitbull, Redman, EPMD, and Ludacris at different shows across Maryland. In 2011, he signed with Visionary Music Group, and after two years, he released two new mixtapes. In 2013, Logic released his fourth mixtape titled ‘Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever’ which secured him a recording deal with Def Jam Recordings. Logic released his debut studio album ‘Under Pressure’ in October 2014 which propelled him to both commercial and critical success. The album debuted on the U.S. Billboard 200 at number four, which saw Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA0 gold certify the artist. In 2015, Logic released his second studio album, ‘The Incredible True Story’ which received positive reviews from critics and selling over 135,000 copies within the first week. The album debuted in the US at number 3 drawing on rap opera and incorporating cinematic elements. ‘The Incredible True Story’ sold over 500,000 copies in the United States and was later certified gold by the RIAA. After three years, Logic released a commercial mixtape ‘Bobby Tarantino.’ This album had him return to including musical elements which he saw as missing in his earlier commercial versions. The move was compelled by what he described as people not listening to his music keenly and only did it for fun without realizing the work put towards creating the beats and lyrics. The single ‘Flexicution’ was in the mixtape and sold a combined 100,000 copies in the United States.
