It’s official. The members of Motley Crue may have signed a contract saying that they’d never tour or perform together again, but that’s over. After plenty of rumors across the net, Motley Crue have confirm that they will reunite for a massive 2020 stadium tour with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.
The Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Poison tour has been highly rumored for weeks, but the addition of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts to the lineup came as a surprise, since Jett wasn’t part of those initial tour rumors.
Motley Crue famously traveled the world on their farewell run for 158 shows before ending the trek on New Year’s Eve, 2015, in Los Angeles. The band members — frontman Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee and guitarist Mick Mars — all stated at the time that they signed a “cessation of touring agreement,” making it illegal for them to perform together after the tour.
That said, Sixx told Rolling Stone in 2014. “The only loophole is if all four band members agreed to do it, we could override our own contract… But we know that will never happen.”
