The Backstreet Boys announced a 70-date tour alongside news of their upcoming 10th studio album, DNA, on Friday morning (Nov. 9). They also dropped their new single, “Chances,” co-penned by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder and Shawn Mendes.

The DNA World Tour opens in Europe in May before heading to North America in July. The 43-date leg opening July 12th in Washington, D.C. and currently concludes September 15th at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center. BSB new album DNA, the quintet’s first LP in six years, arrives on January 25th. On Friday, the group shared their new video for the DNA single “Chances,” co-written by Ryan Tedder and Shawn Mendes.

Pop icons Backstreet Boys have announced a massive 2019 world tour supporting their upcoming album ‘DNA’. The North American portion of the tour kicks off July 12th in Washington, DC and stretches through the rest of the summer visiting major U.S. markets like Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Dallas. Canadian shows are planned for Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. Prior to the tour, the legendary boy band will be wrapping up a Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater.

Backstreet Boys’ ninth studio album ‘DNA’ will be dropping on January 25th, 2019. Their previous 2013 album ‘In a World Like This’ reached #5 on the Billboard 200 and was the first to feature all five original members since 2005’s ‘Never Gone’. Also in 2013, the band launched their In a World Like This Tour which stretched into 2015 and consisted of 176 shows across Asia, North America, Europe, Australia and South America. The tour also coincided with the band’s 20th anniversary and was joined by acts like Jesse McCartney, DJ Pauly D, Avril Lavigne and Victoria Duffield.

They are the first group since Sade to have their first nine albums reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200, and the only boy band to do so. Their 2013 album In a World Like This debuted in the top five, two decades after the group was formed. The group received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 22, 2013.[9]
